Why does junk food always taste so good in pregnancy? by Connie b. Dellobuono
Answer by Connie b. Dellobuono:
Salt in junk foods is one craving that means a deficiency is some minerals especially magnesium and calcium. Start the day with good whole foods rich in protein, iron rich food in the morning and calcium+magnesium rich food in the afternoon. First trimester requires omega 3 rich food as the brain of the baby needs all of it and during the last trimester good carbs to carry one thru labor. Eat whole foods for two always when pregnant. During pregnancy, the demands for nutrients is high as a developing baby takes all there is from the mom. So every child we bear into this world, takes at least 5 yrs from our lifespan as women.
