Can people die sooner from Alzheimer's or dementia? by Connie b. Dellobuono
Answer by Connie b. Dellobuono:
When AD appears before the age of 60, the life span is shorter and for over 65, the person lives a little longer. Since AD is a Type 3 diabetes, the body's insulin and lipid levels are factors to consider. Over medicated seniors in care homes are more affected by AD. Those with good care from family and caregivers (massage, music, exercise, whole foods) live longer.
