What non-drug methods/remedies have been successful in easing chronic pain in children? by @herculeshouding

Answer by Patrick van Enschot:

Hi Roweena,

I have been trained by Egoscue University so naturally I would advise you to check out the Egoscue Method. They have clinics all over the US and there are practitioners (like me) outside of clinics all over the world. The approach is simple and not specific to children but to all people: correct the posture and the chronic pain usually diminishes or goes away.

Check out Egoscue – Stop Chronic Pain and the books of Pete Egoscue on Amazon – as you can see they have a very high rating and that is even from people who have only used the books to help themselves get rid of chronic pain.

The clinics get a lot of children visiting and there are therapists especially trained in working with children (of all ages) so I definitely advise you to at least go for a visit or phone them up so they can explain what they would do in your (child’s) situation.

The Egoscue method is safe, non-medical and holistic and regards the body as a unit. By re-training the body (the hips and pelvis are the most important as they are the base of the spine) by using simple but effective exercises (and with children they usually do this in a play setting) amazing results can be achieved, up to 95% of effectiveness.

Any questions let me know!

Good luck,

Patrick
