My Korean female dentist wanted to be an artist, you can see her beautiful and professional painting in her dental office.
When she told her mom about her goal of becoming an artist, her mom cried and said I cannot support you as an artists, you could not possibly earn a decent money to live.
So she became a dentist instead and during her free time, she still paints.
