MSNBC renewed Lawrence O’Donnell’s contrac because of our grassroots action

WE DID IT! MSNBC renewed Lawrence O’Donnell’s contract and The Last Word will remain on the air.

MSNBC started to abandon its left-leaning roots and appears to be appeasing the Trump Administration for greater access. They’ve made some bizarre hiring decisions in the process, welcoming conservative pundits and former Fox News hosts into the fold.

Meanwhile, Lawrence O’Donnell and The Last Word were on the chopping block. Liberals across the country, including nearly 300,000 members of the Daily Kos community fought to save O’Donnell’s job, and we won!

Lawrence O’Donnell has been a strong progressive voice in the media and has never backed down from Trump’s bluster and bullying. We need journalists who are not afraid to tell the truth about this so-called president and his administration.

Thanks to dedicated people like you, O’Donnell will still have theplatform needed to share that truth and hold this disastrous administration accountable for the constant lies they peddle.

Thank you, Connie b, for adding your name to this fight, for standing up for progressive media, and for honoring truth-telling in journalism.

Keep fighting,
Irna Landrum, Daily Kos
