Procedure for response to elderly abuse reporting duties
Home Care Organization caregiver/case manager must promptly and completely document related elderly abuse in client daily logbook, call HCO case manager to report abuse and report to DSS Elderly Abuse Hotline and complete a report using this form:

Prior to hire, caregivers and case managers must complete or read the following information:
- Legal and Ethical issues training material which include: basic legal and ethical responsibilities: assault and battery, definition of neglect, abuse, exploitation and reporting, invasion of privacy and HIPPAA, basic ethical standards.
