A day in a life of a caregiver caring for terminally ill

I was cutting his long pants so that he could have shorts as one of his legs was cut.  As I massage his legs with oil mixed with eucalyptus, apricot, rosemary and other essential oil in base of apricot oil, I pray that my hands will bring healing to his body.

At times, he is grouchy as he is bed bound most of the times.  He uses his stretch band to exercise and I help move his legs. While massaging him, I concentrate on his lungs as he has lung issues and is using oxygen.

I then train other caregivers how to heal him with soup and massage. I always visit him every Saturday and Sunday to give him a hug and chat with him while I massage his body.

I believe in holistic senior care incorporating hugs, loving care, massage and nutrition in overall home health care.
