Not on the list are organizations that promote wellness such as dance lessons for Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s and other movement exercise for seniors. In the future we should see: healthy meals for seniors ordered online, online demand for other services and so on.

- AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety – This organization’s website offers senior driving self-assessments, safe driving tips, emergency information, and more.
- AARP – AARP’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for all as we age, leading positive social change and delivering value to members through information, advocacy and service.
- Administration on Aging – This federal agency sponsors the Eldercare Locator, which identifies Area Agencies on Aging by geographic location
- Aging Help – AgingHelp is for the professional serving the older American through community and in-home services.
- Age Net – AgeNet, Inc. operates a comprehensive, national eldercare network to meet the specific needs of the fast growing aging population and their adult caregiving children.
- Ageless Design – This site provides information and advice on home modifications and resources, especially for people with Alzheimer’s disease.
- American Geriatrics Society – The American Geriatrics Society (AGS) is the premier professional organization of health care providers dedicated to improving the health and well-being of all older adults.
- American Society on Aging – Thousands of professionals throughout the country rely on the American Society on Aging to keep them on the cutting edge in an aging society.
- Assisted Living Federation of America – The Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) represents over 7,000 for-profit and not-for-profit providers of assisted living, continuing care retirement communities, independent living and other forms of housing and services.
- Drug Watch for list of dangerous drugs – This site lists current drugs and medical devices that are recalled, dangerous and must be monitored or not taken at all. An important safety reminder to all to ensure that current meds are not listed in the FDA as recalled. Drug watch is an awareness group that aims to educate the public about prescription/OTC drugs, medical devices, and the numerous health issues affecting the elderly.
- Fifty-Plus Fitness Association – This website offers information that promotes an active lifestyle among older people.
- Gerontological Society of America – This organization’s mission is to promote the conduct of multi- and interdisciplinary research in aging by expanding the quantity of and improving the quality of gerontological research, and by increasing its funding resources; and to disseminate gerontological research knowledge to researchers, to practitioners, and to decision and opinion makers.
- Meals-On-Wheels – The Meals On Wheels Association of America represents those who provide congregate and home-delivered meals services to people in need.
- Medicare – Medicare is the federal health insurance program that covers most people age 65 and older. Some younger people who are disabled or who have End-Stage Renal Disease (permanent kidney failure) are also eligible for coverage.
- National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys – The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc. is a non-profit association which assists lawyers, bar organizations and others who work with older clients and their families. Established in 1987, the Academy provides a resource of information, education, networking and assistance to those who must deal with the many specialized issues involved with legal services to the elderly and disabled.

- National Center on Women & Aging – The mission of the National Center on Women and Aging is to focus national attention on the special concerns of women as they age, to develop solutions and strategies for dealing with these concerns, and to reach out to women and organizations across the country, promoting the changes necessary to improve older women’s lives.
- National Council on Aging, Inc. – This organization works with professionals and community organizations to improve the lives of the elderly. The website offers information about the organization’s wide-ranging advocacy role as well as access to its journal, Innovations.

- – The National Institute on Aging (NIA), one of the 25 institutes and centers of the National Institutes of Health, leads a broad scientific effort to understand the nature of aging and to extend the healthy, active years of life. Check the website for the latest findings.
- National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers – GCM is a non-profit, professional organization of practitioners whose goal is the advancement of dignified care for the elderly and their families.
- National Association of Social Workers– NASW is a membership organization that promotes, develops, and protects the practice of social work and social workers. NASW also seeks to enhance the effective functioning and well-being of individuals, families, and communities through its work and through its advocacy. This organization offers referrals to qualified social workers nationwide.
- National Senior Citizen’s Law Center – The National Senior Citizens Law Center advocates nationwide to promote the independence and well-being of low-income elderly individuals, as well as persons with disabilities, with particular emphasis on women and racial and ethnic minorities.
- Senior Service America, Inc. – Senior Services America’s purposes are exclusively charitable, educational and scientific: It provides employment for seniors through the Senior AIDES Program, the Senior Environmental Employment Program, and Mature Staffing Systems. It also conducts research programs and workshops.
- Senior World Online – A senior resource center for active seniors in the digital age.
- Senior Explorer – Senior Explorer was founded in October 1998 to provide seniors with the ways and means to become more actively involved with computers and the Internet. We truly believe that no other age group is more suited to the Information Age than those 50 and older.
