Dear Mom,

You are a strong woman with lots of opportunities ahead of you.  You make your own money, you choose your own career and you make choices based on what makes you happy. I now understand why you divorce my grouchy dad.

I will also be mad like my brother if you contact other jobs or opportunities for me.  Let him learn his lessons and find his way into this world even if takes him many years in college. Do not spoil my brother.

I know my goals in my career early on that is why I am blessed to have this job as a part time art teacher while pursuing my college degree in Art education with minor in graphics design. I learn more on the job than when in school. I promise you to finish my college and be on my own. Do not worry about buying stuff for me, just save and buy yourself a house in the bay area.  I even saved my own savings for you in case you need it as I see you struggle with living in the bay area alone.
