Among seniors, being non-ambulatory with chronic disease , thousand miles away from their children and being alone contribute to their depression.
This is my observation. Young adults surrounded by friends and loving family are happier. Most Asian countries are not listed in the top 30 list above. Many companies who have manufacturing sites in the Philippines noticed the Filipino workers are happy people. In Puerto Rico, each worker greets each other with a kiss on the cheeks.
