Who won the first Trump-Clinton U.S. Presidential debate? by Sia Huang
Answer by Sia Huang:
Clinton. Having been the Secretary of State for four years, Hillary Clinton is far more experienced than Trump in the political field. We can also see that from their debates.
1. When Trump is attacked by Hillary Clinton by saying that “He’s paid nothing in federal taxes.” and he dared not to disclose his company’s tax return. Let’s see how Trump reacted.
He said, “That makes me smart.” and changed the topic. Actually he made no response.
Let’s see Trump’s tax policy.
“Under my plan I will be reducing taxes tremendously from thirty five percent to fifteen percent for companies, small and big businesses.”
What does this mean?
There are many other examples, and I do have the feeling that Donald lacks experience in the political field than Hillary.
2. The lack of words and misunderstanding of words.
He used seven “stamina” with one minute in his speech. More incredibly, he interrupted the moderator for several times to emphasize that he had a better stamina than Hillary. Let’s see what he said. “I have a winning temperament. I know how to win. She does not.” I nearly believe that “temperament” means the ability to win after listening to his debate.
3. Always got sidetracked. When the moderator asked “Will you accept the outcome of the election?” He started to talk about unemployment, corruption and etc. while Hillary said “I support democracy.”
There are many other gold lines in Hillary’s debate. The most impressive one to me is her reaction to Trump’s attacking her that she did not have stamina. She said,“When Donald Trump spends 11 hours testifying in front of a congressional committee, he can talk to me about stamina.”
I also want to make some reactions to some of Trump’s opinion towards China.
1. China was stealing American jobs.
Just see the first part of this answer, Infrastructure in China. Sia Huang's answer to How misunderstood is China by the outside world? I think the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge example can illustrate something. MTA paid 235million dollars to a Chinese company to import steel instead of an American company merely because of the high quality and low cost. Therefore, it is not China that steal America’s jobs. It is America that needs China to manufacture for higher-quality products at lower costs for more economic benefits; It is America that takes the initiative.
2. Climate change is a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese.
I have searched the United Nation’s official website and I find that climate change has been a heated topic the whole world has long been concerning about.
He means China is tricking the whole world? All the scientists? All the environmentalists? All the scholars? I don’t think China is able to do that.
3. DNC hack was Russia, it could be Russia or China.
As long as there is any proof.
