Hi,
Twitter’s terms of service bans hateful conduct and making violent threats.1 If threatening nuclear war – as Donald Trump did in a recent tweet – does not count, we don’t know what does. Tell Twitter: Crack down on @RealDonaldTrump. Click here to sign the petition Trump recently tweeted:
Twitter’s terms of service explicitly provide:
Like many other Trump tweets, this one clearly violated Twitter’s rules and policies against hateful conduct and violent threats.2 Trump has also repeatedly emboldened violent white supremacists on Twitter, sharing their memes and retweeting their posts to millions of followers. His active promotion of hate mongers helped create the violent atmosphere of racist hate that led to a white supremacist killing a woman with his car in Charlottesville, Virginia.3 On Tuesday, just days after the white supremacist violence in Virginia, Trump tweeted and then deleted a cartoon depicting a train hitting a CNN reporter. While the White House later claimed that it was tweeted inadvertently, it was not the first time Trump has used his Twitter account to encourage violence targeting the media.4 Twitter’s coddling of Donald Trump could have deadly consequences. Trump has a history of setting official government policy via tweet. If he spouts off without thinking, makes a disastrous typo – or, worst of all, if his account were to be hacked – the result could be nuclear war. Despite the possible repercussions and Trump’s repeated violations, Twitter has yet to act. It is not too much to ask for Twitter to ensure that White House staff verify any Trump tweets before they are posted. Or, Twitter could stop coddling white supremacists and authoritarians and follow through on its own terms of service by revoking Trump’s account. Tell Twitter: Crack down on @RealDonaldTrump. Click here to sign the petition Donald Trump has used his Twitter account to wreak havoc on enemies real and imagined. He has directed armies of internet trolls against journalists, public figures and anyone who draws his ire. His tweets about government policy have caused multibillion dollar changes in the market caps of major corporations. A few weeks ago, he sent a series of tweets announcing a decision to ban transgender Americans from the military despite not having consulted with the military first.5 If his account tweeted that he had ordered a military strike – whether it was from his own thumbs or because the account had been hacked – countless American lives could be lost before cooler heads prevail. Twitter has more than enough reason to revoke Trump’s account based on its own rules. It must either do so or institute immediate safeguards, or all of us could pay the price. Dear family, friends and colleagues,
It is with overwhelming sadness that I’m informing you that yesterday my beloved Anniek passed away. She was my best friend and my spouse. She passed away peacefully, without pain and at home while being on hospice care and being taken care of by me, Henk, just as she always wished. It is just very sad that it is at such a young age of 45 years.
She does have a nice standing list of accomplishments and at least that is something that provided some solace to her: working on the human genome project at Stanford that sequenced the first human genome, working on pharmaceuticals at Roche Palo Alto to help cure people, and ultimately working at Agilent Santa Clara on DNA/RNA microarrays and next gen sequencing. All to the benefit of society and people’s well being. Several of these contributions help with cancer research and cures, but alas for Anniek, tumor science has not advanced far enough yet.
Her desire is to be cremated. For her family and friends in Belgium there will be a memorial service in Belgium. For her friends and colleagues in the USA, we’ll have a gathering in the Bay Area to celebrate and remember her life.
Please do not overwhelm us with flowers. If you do want to express your appreciation for Anniek in any way, then share your most beautiful moments you had with her or fun tidbits or why you really appreciated her.
Sincerely,
Henk Neefs, her husband
May God’s light shine upon Anniek and may God show her peace and rest in eternity.
Connie

The alt-right “Free Speech” rally is still moving forward as scheduled despite incredible public pressure and multiple controversial speakers dropping out of the line-up. But this decision should not be left to white nationalists.
The event’s organizers now have the permits necessary to rally on public grounds. But their presence is a threat to public safety and they are unwelcome. It’s time for the city’s leadership to end this!

We must not let another tragedy like Charlottesville terrorize our cities. We must not let hate win.

P.S. You can read email I sent earlier about this awful rally below.
Connie b, last week a white nationalist march in Charlottesville, VA resulted in violence, grave injury, and death. Now another group of white supremacists wants to rally in Boston this Saturday, under the guise of protecting free speech.
We need to send a strong message that we will not give quarter to bigots and their hate speech. Hate speech leads to hate crimes and prejudiced policies like those Trump wants to advance. We won’t let white nationalists terrorize our communities.

At least 1,000 people are expected to attend the rally on Saturday. While this event’s organizers are distancing themselves from the terroristic violence in Charlottesville, the line-up still boasts two speakers affiliated with the so-called “alt-right,” more accurately known as white nationalists.
Boston mayor Martin Walsh opposes this toxic rally, especially in light of last week’s tragedy, so much that he’s willing to join the counterprotest if the event isn’t cancelled. However, from his position, he must take bold action to prevent the cancer of racism, bigotry, and hate to spread any further.

We must know what are the toxins or lifestyles that contribute to cancer. Some of the toxins are metal dusts and neurotoxins proliferate in the absence of sleep. We detoxify our bodies during sleep.
My co-worker who had worked in semiconductor companies for many years had lymphoma (and survived) but not a friend who died of prostrate cancer from working 2 jobs, night shift in the airport. My sister’s 3 GFs had breast cancer from working at another seminconductor companies.
Our brain gives us signal that we have inhaled or ingested a toxin. Listen to our bodies. Avoid all toxins around us if possible.

WASHINGTON — No one should have been surprised to see President Trump playing footsie with racists. He’s been doing it for years.
On Saturday, when Trump could not bring himself to condemn white supremacists for the Charlottesville tragedy, he was just being consistent: He often has shown empathy for white racial grievance.
After all, who was the most prominent voice of birtherism, the unfounded and blatantly racist challenge to President Obama’s legitimacy? Who exclaimed on Twitter in 2014 that “you won’t see another black president for generations” because of Obama’s performance? Who has disseminated false, racially charged “statistics” about black crime?
Trump made a rare climb-down on Monday, specifically condemning violence by white supremacists, neo-Nazis and the Ku Klux Klan. But his initial reaction on Saturday — after a car, allegedly driven by a young Nazi sympathizer, plowed into a crowd of demonstrators, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer and injuring many others — was to denounce “hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides.”
In fact, there were just two sides in Charlottesville: militant white nationalists, including former Klan leader David Duke and neo-Nazis, who had descended in large numbers; and counter-protesters who came out to tell the assembled racist horde to get lost. Trump’s first statement seemed to make no moral distinction.
Those are stirring words, gentlemen, but where have you been hiding all this righteousness? Were you not paying attention when then-candidate Trump attacked a federal judge for his Mexican-American heritage and demeaned a Gold Star mother and father for their Muslim faith?
I might take all the GOP breast-beating more seriously if the party would abandon its state-by-state campaign to impose restrictive election laws that disproportionately disenfranchise African-American and Hispanic voters.
In contrast to the Republican reaction, the neo-Nazi Daily Stormer website was quite pleased with Trump’s initial comment. “He didn’t attack us. He just said the nation should come together,” wrote the racist, anti-Semitic site’s founder. “No condemnation at all. When asked to condemn, he just walked out of the room. Really, really good. God bless him.”
Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that the Charlottesville incident was, indeed, an act of terrorism, and that the Justice Department has opened a hate crime investigation. Reflect for a moment on how Trump’s “many sides” comment made Sessions, of all people, look like some kind of civil rights hero.
There are those who see Trump’s initial reluctance to denounce white-power groups as nothing but politics — an appeal to white voters who are anxious about growing diversity. Yet the president’s Monday reversal was clearly a political calculation. I believe what we heard Saturday was simply a genuine first reaction.
In 1973, Trump and his father were sued by the Justice Department for refusing to rent apartments to African-Americans. He said in a 1989 interview that “a well-educated black” has an advantage in the job market — a victimhood claim refuted by academic studies and his own record of not having minorities in key posts at the Trump Organization.
Trump has called himself the “least racist person on earth.” There is no end to the man’s lies.
Almost every American president has been transparent with his finances for the past 40 years – everyone except Donald Trump, that is. With all of the confusion around his possible collusion with Putin and Russia, this information is critical now more than ever.

Donald Trump’s holdings of many foreign and domestic business interests are new territory for a president of the United States. With critical funding for public benefit programs being slashed left and right and his personal profits from the office being scrutinized, Americans have a right to see what he’s been doing with his finances.
Despite his comments about the “fake news” reporters being the only ones interested in seeing his returns, the American public actually does want to see what he’s been up to: a poll prior to Trump coming into office revealed that 75% of voters agree that the President should make his tax returns available.
We’re joining with a group of our coalition partners to put an end to the evasion and mystery, and demand Trump’s tax returns now.
Join us and sign now to demand that the President release his tax returns to the American public.
