Soursop , an anti-cancer fruit (sour in taste)

Soursop is the fruit of Annona muricata, a broadleaf, flowering, evergreen tree native to Mexico, Cuba, Central America, the Caribbean and northern South America: Colombia, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and Venezuela. Soursop is also produced in Somalia. Today, it is also grown in some areas of Southeast Asia, as well as in some Pacific islands. It was most likely brought from Mexico to the Philippines by way of the Manila-Acapulco Galleon trade.[citation needed] It is in the same genus as the chirimoya and the same family as the pawpaw.
Health
The fruit contains significant amounts of vitamin C, vitamin B1 and vitamin B2.
Preliminary in vitro laboratory research suggests that Graviola may have potential to treat some infections. Research carried out in the Caribbean has suggested a connection between consumption of soursop and atypical forms of Parkinson’s disease due to the very high concentration of annonacin. The Federal Trade Commission in the United States determined that there was “no credible scientific evidence” that the extract of soursop sold by Bioque Technologies “can prevent, cure, or treat cancer of any kind.”
Annonacin is a neurotoxin found in soursop seeds
The compound annonacin contained in the seeds of soursop is a neurotoxin and it seems to be the cause of a neurodegenerative disease. The only group of people known to be affected live on the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe and the problem presumably occurs with the excessive consumption of plants containing annonacin. The disorder is a so-called tauopathy associated with a pathologic accumulation of tau protein in the brain. Experimental results demonstrated for the first time that the plant neurotoxin annonacin is responsible for this accumulation.

Cancer treatment
According to Cancer Research UK, “there is no evidence to show that graviola works as a cure for cancer” and consequently they do not support its use as a treatment for cancer. A court case relating to the sale in the UK of Triamazon, a graviola product, resulted in convictions on four counts related to selling an unlicensed medical product. The judge said that the drug had not been tested on human beings, was not licenced for use in UK markets and could cause symptoms similar to Parkinson’s Disease.

Multiday acute sodium bicarbonate intake improves endurance capacity and reduces acidosis in men

Note: You can maintain an alkaline instead of acidic body cell with less meat consumption but more on veggies.
Legend: Sodium bicarbonate or NaHCO3

Provisional Abstract/Clinical Trial: The purpose was to investigate the effects of one dose of NaHCO3 per day for five consecutive days on cycling time-to-exhaustion (Tlim) at ‘Critical Power’ (CP) and acid–base parameters in endurance athletes.

Methods

Eight trained male cyclists and triathletes completed two exercise periods in a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind interventional crossover investigation. Before each period, CP was determined. Afterwards, participants completed five constant-load cycling trials at CP until volitional exhaustion on five consecutive days, either after a dose of NaHCO3 (0.3 g.kg-1 body mass) or placebo (0.045 g.kg-1 body mass NaCl).

Results

Average Tlim increased by 23.5% with NaHCO3 supplementation as compared to placebo. However, there was no time effect for Tlim. [HCO3-] showed a main effect for condition but not for time. NaHCO3 supplementation resulted in an expansion of plasma volume relative to placebo.

Conclusions

The increase in Tlim was accompanied by an increase in [HCO3-], suggesting that acidosis might be a limiting factor for exercise at CP. Prolonged NaHCO3 supplementation did not lead to a further increase in [HCO3-] due to the concurrent elevation in plasma volume. This may explain why Tlim remained unaltered despite the prolonged NaHCO3 supplementation period. Ingestion of one single NaHCO3 dose per day before the competition during multiday competitions or tournaments might be a valuable strategy for performance enhancement.

Sweet cassava tubers, a staple in Asia and Africa, is a powerful energy food for athletes

Sweet cassava tubers (a root crop with white meat and covered with hardened skin) have abundant carbohydrates consisting of monosaccharides and polysaccharides. In addition, polysaccharides extracted from plants improve sports performance, according to recent studies. A study examined whether the administration of sweet cassava polysaccharides (SCPs) benefited endurance performance in rats.

Rats were fed with ExSCP dose of 500 mg/kg body weight by gastric intubation and glycogen content was determined in their gastrocnemius and soleus muscles (during endurance running).

Results
The running time to exhaustion of the ExSCP group was significantly longer than that of the Ex group by 49% (64 vs. 43 min). After running to exhaustion, it was seen that although the glycogen content in the soleus and gastrocnemius muscles of the Ex and ExSCP groups was lower compared to the C group, values in the ExSCP group were significantly higher than in the Ex group. In addition, blood glucose and free fatty acid (FFA) levels were significantly higher in the ExSCP than in the Ex group.

Conclusions
SCP supplementation can prolong exercise endurance in rats. Higher muscle glycogen levels and stable glucose and FFA concentrations in the circulation contributed to the prolonged time to exhaustion.

Detox, Weight Loss, Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn’s Disease

Here is an update on healing our intestines, where 70% of our immune system resides. A happy gut, is a happy person. Flush out toxins in the morning with warm water and then add lemon after warming it.
Be sure that your breakfast from 7-9am has fiber, fruits and veggies. To clean your body, do a detox for a week by avoiding red meat and eating veggies and selected fruits instead. Remember that 4 calories of carbs is equal to one calorie of sugar. Check with your doctor before going for detox or whole body cleanse. There is a special supplement needed for your protein and essential fat intake. Aloe vera juice can be added to your water throughout the day, be sure to check for its sugar content.

What are the details in whole body detox? What are the details in a one week cleanse to lose excess weight?

Diet for Colitis:
– avoid sugar, caffeine, carbonated, salty, fried, moldy, malted, cheese, milk, fatty red meats, processed foods, fruit juices
– do not eat fruits on empty stomach, avoid acidic fruits such as grapefruit and oranges, do eat fruits in between meals

– eat cooked foods, grains, vegetables, baked, steamed or boiled
– include garlic, onion family, root veggies with skin, yellow foods, protein-rich veggies

– eat fiber-rich food, add flaxseeds, sesame seeds
– add probiotic
– drink glass of water 30min before and 30min after meal

Dear Connie,

My 29 year old brother has ulcerative colitis and what can we do while waiting for the doctors’ investigations about his health and pain.

Hope you can give us few tips that we can offer to him for holistic healing.

Regards,

Anna

Dear Anna,

We can start by making his blood and body alkaline and to stop consuming allergy-producing foods,  dairy, meat with hormones, corn, sugar but more on whole foods.  And add the following to flush out toxins in his body: probiotics, acidophilus, fresh green juice, lemon in water, sea salt in moderation, replace sugar with maple syrup and light cranberry juice diluted with filtered alkaline water and garlic/onion and yellow veggies.

For protein, boiled hormone free eggs, brown rice powder protein for soups and warm drinks.  The following supplements and tinctures are helpful in healing our tissues: black walnut, fluradix iron in the morning, aloe vera juice, coconut water, 2 brazil raw nuts, pistachio raw nuts, sunflower seeds, blueberry

Remember to wash veggies and fruits well with salt.  Add fiber-rich veggies (cabbage and tomatoes) when eating processed foods to cancel the preservatives and chemicals. Avoid all canned (soda, sausage) and processed foods for 2 months or forever.

In my web site ( www.clubalthea.com  ), the timing on when we should eat the following foods has an effect on our body:

Iron-rich food in the morning and calcium-rich food in the afternoon
Complex carbs and protein in the evening
Warm soup before a meal
Boiled egg for breakfast every other day, 1 tsp of goat cheese
Fiber with meals
Apples, nuts, pear for snack
Pineapple/papaya for morning snack/breakfast
Yogurt for morning snack
Protein shake before a meal
Alkaline water w lemon 30 min before and 30 min after meal
Raw salad with complex carbs and protein, all colors if possible
Vit C-rich food in most meals
Cooked root crops such as yams, cassava with raw food
Warm lemon water early morning drink
Protein with light alcohol drink
Protein with eggs after a hangover
Rice soup with ginger when stomach poisoned or only liquid
With allergies, up Vit C and Bs and colored foods devoid of sugar and preservatives
With depression, up colored foods and calcium/magnesium rich food
With losing weight, use small portion meals every 3-4hrs
With health, add a dose of love, support and happy disposition in life

I will write some more…

Blessings,

IV infusion (chelation therapy) of essential nutrients, flushing metal toxins

IV infusion (chelation therapy) of essential nutrients, flushing metal toxins to remove mineral-rich deposits of plaque that can cause arteries to harden in a condition known as atherosclerosis

The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine and the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute — two branches of the National Institutes of Health — agreed to fund it. Researchers from 134 facilities agreed to administer a cocktail comprising disodium EDTA, vitamins and electrolytes or a placebo to 1,708 patients who were at least 50 years old and had suffered a heart attack at least six weeks earlier. The 40 infusions were spread out over more than a year.

The researchers found that chelation did reduce patients’ overall risk of heart problems, such as stroke and angina requiring hospitalization. Chelation patients’ heart attack rate was 6%, compared with 8% for those on the placebo.

The strongest effect was seen with procedures to reopen the coronary artery: 15% of chelation patients needed them, compared with 18% of patients who got the placebo treatment. The difference was small, but it was just enough to be statistically significant, said Dr. Gervasio Lamas, the Columbia University cardiologist who led the study.

Turn cell phones at night, electrical radiation, EMF, affecting our brain causing diseases

Do you feel no energy, increased chronic infection, increased chronic fatigue and chronic pain.  Exposure to man-made electro magnetic radiation/waves/field (EMF) can cause brain related diseases such as autism and others.

University of Athens reported proteins are altered in the brain when exposed to EMF. The DNA manufacturing is completely altered forever when network cellphone towers are built close to the house. The night time is the most time when we are vulnerable to electrical radiation. Please turn off fuses at night to lessen the effects of body voltage. Turn off your cell phones and not sleep close to it.

Seniors need to be visited by family members or be surrounded by a support system

In the bay area, many of the seniors in care homes, in their own homes and nursing homes are not often visited by their family members. To be at their homes alone without any social support or assistance in daily living from a caregiver or other members of the community is worse. In care homes or nursing homes, they are fed and assisted in daily living.

You can see the anticipation and smile in their faces when told that their family members are going to visit them. Social support, loving and caring circle of family, friends and community can be a potent medicine for those who are diagnosed with cancer according to many clinical studies.
Alzheimer’s disease was link to the absence of social interaction or the lifestyle of isolation from others. The brain becomes more rigid and creating more tangles (memory disconnect) with less activity derived from social interaction, reading, memory related tasks and meeting new faces and living with family members or support groups/caregivers.

Genes carrying Alzheimer’s disease are expressed when in an environment that is toxic (stress, inflammation, lack of social support/care, metals toxins, acidic body, hormonal imbalance, diseased cellular structure, lacking in essential nutrients).

Social isolation is associated with a higher risk of death in older people regardless of whether they consider themselves lonely, research suggests.
A study of 6,500 UK men and women aged over 52 found that being isolated from family and friends was linked with a 26% higher death risk over seven years. Whether or not participants felt lonely did not alter the impact of social isolation on health

Bitter gourd or bitter melon for body builders, diabetics, HIV infection

gourd-pic

Bitter gourd or bitter melon plant and leaves contain conjugated linolenic acid (CLNA). Both conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and CLNA provide health benefits from fat metabolism, muscle building, preventing heart diease, leukemia and others. Take probiotics or acidophilus (present in yogurt, in capsule as supplements) increase the uptake of CLNA and CLA. The leaves can be added in lentil soups while the plant can be cooked with seeds removed in many ways (just washed it in salt while squeezing its bitter content). Most body builders buy supplements containing CLNA and/or CLA.

gourd pic

• Bitter gourd is very low in calories, providing just 17 calories per 100g. Nevertheless, its pods are rich in phytonutrients like dietary fiber, minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidants.
• Bitter melon notably contains phyto-nutrient, polypeptide-P; a plant insulin known to lower blood sugar levels. In addition, it composes hypoglycemic agent called charantin. Charantin increases glucose uptake and glycogen synthesis in the cells of liver, muscle and adipose tissue. Together, these compounds are thought to be responsible for reduction of blood sugar levels in the treatment of type-2 diabetes.
• Fresh pods are an excellent source of folates, contain about 72 µg/100g (Provides 18% of RDA). Folate helps reduce the incidence of neural tube defects in the newborns when taken by mothers during early pregnancy.
• Fresh bitter melon is an excellent source of vitamin-C (100 g of raw pod provides 84 mg or about 140% of RDI). Vitamin-C, one of the powerful natural antioxidants, helps the body scavenge deleterious free radicals one of the reasons for cancer development.
• It is an excellent source of health benefiting flavonoids such as ß-carotene, α-carotene, lutein, and zea-xanthin. It also contains a good amount of vitamin A. Together; these compounds help act as protective scavengers against oxygen-derived free radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS) that play a role in aging, cancers and various disease processes.
• Bitter melon stimulates easy digestion and peristalsis of food through the bowel until it is excreted from the body. Thus, helps in relieving indigestion and constipation problems.
• In addition, the vegetable is an also good source of niacin (vitamin B-3), pantothenic acid (vitamin B-5), pyridoxine (vitamin B-6) and minerals such as iron, zinc, potassium, manganese and magnesium.
• Early laboratory tests suggest that compounds in bitter melon might be effective for treating HIV infection.

Virus enters in weak membranes/cells

Virus enters our body in many ways but having an intact strong membranes, cellular structure is very important
There are many ways to have strong membranes and cellular structure. The colorful red and yellow colors in our fruits and veggies help create strong tissues and cells. An infection, inflammation and low immune system can be an opportunity for the virus to enter and multiply. Inflammation can be brought about by stress, low immune system and intake of toxic substances/foods/drugs/carcinogens.

Corroding cells are cells that are constantly bombarded by inflammatory substances such as allergens, stress hormones and other chemicals (not essential for life, non-essential food, molds, burned food, used cooking oil or hydrogenated/trans fats). A special newborn was not affected by HIV even when the mother carries HIV virus because the newborn cells are still healthy and intact. Below is a picture depicting the entry of virus and how it can attach to our cells in many ways.
The information below is from: http://www.rkm.com.au/virus/biology/virus-entry.html
VIRUS-Cell-Entry-500

Graphic of Viral Entry into Animal Cells: virus attachment to cell surface (adsorption) and virus entry into cell. Picture shows translocation, pore formation, receptor mediated endocytosis using clathrin coated vesicles and membrane fusion. Some viruses can use more than one strategy. Other means are also employed. The above image is 500 pixels across, the original measures 4,000 pixels across.

1. NAKED VIRUS – TRANSLOCATION: particle crosses cell membrane intact (cf Principles of Molecular Virolgy, 3rd Edition, Alan J. Cann, Academic Press p 117)

2. NAKED VIRUS – GENOME INJECTION: virus attaches to cell surface and releases its genome which penetrates the cytoplasm via a pore that has been created in the plasma membrane. (Bacteriophages, which attack bacterial cells, also inject their genomes and may use molecular “syringes” to do so, please see our diagram of T4 phages injecting).

3. NAKED VIRUS – ENDOCYTOSIS: virus attaches to cell surface receptor molecules and sinks into a clathrin coated pit. The pit invaginates and finally closes off creating a clathrin coated vesicle (drawn as a cage like sphere) and so the contained virus particle is drawn into the cytoplasm. The clathrin molecular cage soon dissociates into component triskelions (the propeller like objects) which leave a vesicle. The resulting uncoated vesicle transports the contained virion to an endosome. At some stage thereafter, the viral components are released. The virus shown in this example is an Adenovirus.

4. ENVELOPED VIRUS – ENDOCYTOSIS & MEMBRANE FUSION: virus enters cell by receptor mediated endocytosis. The cell membrane merges (fuses) with the endosome membrane and so the virus components are released. The virus shown here is an influenza virus, please see our Influenza virus life cycle illustration.

5. ENVELOPED VIRUS – MEMBRANE FUSION: virus enters the cell when its outer membrane fuses with the plasma membrane at the cell surface. The viral contents are then spilled into the cytoplasm of the cell. This example is HIV, which is unusual in having a conical core (most viral cores tend to be more spherical). Please see our HIV illustrations.

GENERAL POINTS: This diagram is only intended as an overview. The viruses are depicted to show general principles. NAKED VIRUSES have an exposed protein capsid, whilst ENVELOPED VIRUSES are cloaked in cell membrane, added during budding from the host cell. The fates of viral proteins and viral genetic material vary with the type of virus. Some viruses release their genetic material almost immediately (see entry 2) whereas others transport it to the cell nucleus still contained in a protein vehicle (see entry 5).

Toxic chemicals /environmental toxins/carcinogens affect the estrogens/other hormones in our cells

When we wash pesticides from our produce, we do it because they alter our body cells and create an imbalance in our hormones. Some of these chemicals are estrogenic, affecting the normal estrogen levels in our body. When we eat corned beef, we add cabbage and tomatoes in the hopes that toxins will be excreted (removed) by our body with the help of these veggies.

Men/women who wanted to increase their libido should eat hormone-free foods (present at Trader’s Joes and other health food stores) and use chemicals free from substances that are carcinogenic and toxic even when exposed to our skin (such as lotion, soaps, hair colors, deodorants, perfumes and shampoos).

For women, you know that there is hormonal imbalance from the texture of your skin, puffiness of your face, extra weight in the middle, heavy or absence in menstruation, migraine, allergies and depressive moods.
From this site’ article about Boosting Libido: The more weight men carry, the more estrogen and less testosterone they have. To maintain low estrogen levels, eliminate beer and refined foods like white flour and sugar. Choose fresh fish, lean meats like chicken and turkey, and omega-3-rich foods such as flaxseeds, pumpkin seeds, and walnuts. Load up on cruciferous vegetables like brussels sprouts and kale, high in indole-3-carbinol, a compound that helps the liver eliminate excessive estrogen.

How do we avoid these chemicals?
• stay away from them and select pesticide-free, hormone-free, whole foods (farmer’s market or your garden)
• add fiber in our diet
• drink more alkaline water with lemon or cranberries (less acidic foods such as meat)
• exercise and sweat more (sauna)
• do a water hydrotherapy, alternating hot and cold shower
• do a light fasting, liquid diet only every month or quarter using brown rice protein powder or your own detox with nutritional supplementation
Note: Fat tissues in our bodies are where breast, uterine and prostate cancers are also located.

Genes, Mortality, LDL cholesterol

A father and 7 brothers died of heart disease while 2 sisters and their mother are still alive
Genes affect the way we use excess fat in our body that can lead to heart disease. The story above has more data that I could list here. The amount of exercise and sedentary lifestyles lived by the siblings and whether pregnancy helps women shed toxic products in the body that can contribute to heart health. The diet is pork and less vegetables. Other considerations include: their health when they were inside their mother’s womb, breastfed or not, poverty, lack of clean water, environmental toxins or metal exposure from work or home, proper sanitation and others.

The three determinants of health are genetics (who we are), environment (where we live) and behavior/culture (how we live). Men has XY chromosomes while women as XX chromosomes which make it possible for men to inherit any genetic disorders from both parents. Male infants have an excessive risk of neonatal death by comparison with females. It has never been clear whether this male disadvantage is due to specific disease processes or is a general biologic feature of being male.
Rates of schizophrenia were found to be higher in males (39.8 per 100k) than females (22.4 per 100k). Ratio of Alzheimer’s Disease is higher in females than males, 3:1 (Female:male).

About LDL related genes:
A Clinical study by group of reserchers from UK and Australia reported linkage of the CETP gene to LDL particle size adds to the list of candidate genes linked to LDL size, supporting the hypothesis of multigenic determination of LDL size heterogeneity. A preponderance of small, dense LDL particles, elevated levels of plasma triglycerides (TG), and low levels of HDL characterize the atherogenic lipoprotein phenotype, which is associated with increased coronary artery disease (CAD) risk. Genetic and environmental factors influence LDL size, cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) being one of the candidate genes. CETP mediates the transfer of cholesteryl ester from HDL to apolipoprotein (apo) B–containing lipoproteins in exchange for TG, promoting reverse cholesterol transfer and remodeling of lipoprotein particles.

Reduce hunger hormone ghrelin by eating protein-rich food in the morning, good fat and complex healthy carbohydrates in the afternoon and evening

Fat-soluble vitamins D, E, K, A should be taken with meals that has good fat and complex carbs while water soluble vitamins (rest of them) can be taken every 4 hrs any time. Adding vinegar when eating mineral rich food in greens and meat can help in the absorption of these minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium, etc). Warm soup and 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar before a meal helps in your fight to be healthy and lose the extra weights.
Have your doctor check your thyroid, liver, pituitary and adrenal glands for these glands secrete hormones that influences in the way we absorb fat. Eat only hormone-free eggs, meat and milk. Use less plastic and chemicals at home and when cooking. Eat a high-fiber diet since fiber-rich foods help in removing the bad fat and excess sugar from our body.

Hormones linked to obesity (ghrelin, adiponectin, leptin, glucose, insulin, cortisol and smaller bad particles / apolipoprotein B molecules/ LDL cholesterol.) are all related. The active morning hormones are cortisol, ghrelin, glucose and insulin and active afternoon hormones leptin and adipopectin. The highest cholesterol hormone production occurs at night and during fasting. Elevated glucose and insulin concentrations resulting from the morning breakfast and snack may be responsible for the increase in leptin concentration in the afternoon.

More on hormones
Adipokines, adiponectin and leptin are centrally-acting satiety hormones while ghrelin is a non-adipose-derived hormone. Leptin stimulated human platelet aggregation and adhesion but the addition of adiponectin or of ghrelin did not affect human platelet activation (not heart disease causing). Meaning Leptin can cause heart related problems.

A study on horses concluded that there seems to be a diurnal (active during daytime) variation in glucose and insulin response to a breakfast meal in horses. Active ghrelin and leptin may be entrained to meal feeding in horses, whereas adiponectin seems unaffected. Cortisol concentrations increased during the morning hours, but did not respond to feeding.

Concentrations of either leptin or adiponectin increased the integrity of the diffusion barrier formed by a monolayer of human microvascular endothelial cells, only supra-physiological concentrations of ghrelin had this effect. None of these agents reduced microvascular endothelial barrier function.
Leptin activates human platelets and limits transendothelial cell diffusion but that adiponectin only influences endothelial cell permeability. In contrast, ghrelin had neither of these effects.

Binge eating and Rhodiola rosea

Stress is a key determinant of binge eating (BE). Binge eating is due to high cortisol level in our body coupled by depressed adrenal function or modern day fatigue. Depression is also present. Binge eating and depression are made worse when our other hormones (insulin, costisol, all pituitary gland hormones, ghrelin, adinopectin, human growth hormone, serotonin, dopamine) are not in balance. I know I have a hard time in losing weight because I’m 40plus and had been bombarded with stressors in life although I have a positive outlook in life. So, I will visit pharmaca.com in Los Gatos and try the tincture and capsule of Rhodiola rosea, an adaptogenic herb that has anti-cancer properties and also good for the heart.
Since Rhodiola rosea is known to modulate stress responses, its effect in a model of BE was investigated in a study in Italy and concluded that Rhodiola rosea extract 10 mg/kg significantly reduced and 20 mg/kg abolished the BE episode when given to rats one hour before access to food.
Study
Binge eating (BE) for highly palatable food (HPF) was evoked in female rats by three 8-day cycles of food restriction/re-feeding (for 4 days 66% of the usual chow intake; for 4 days food ad libitum) and acute stress on the test day (day 25). R. rosea dry extract (3% rosavin, 3.12% salidroside) or its active principles were given by gavage one hour before access to HPF. Only rats exposed to both food restrictions and stress exhibited BE in the first 15–60 min after the stressful procedure. R. rosea extract 20 mg/kg abolished also stress-induced increase in serum corticosterone levels. The R. rosea active principle salidroside, but not rosavin, at doses present in the extract, dose-dependently reduced or abolished BE for the period in which it was elicited.

The Office Diet with Whole Body Movement

Depending on how bad you want to be fit and healthy, you can tell your body that this time you will not fail to achieve the healthy body you deserve for the sake of you. When you wake up in the morning, stretch your legs and arms on the bed. Remember all the yoga and pilates moves that you learned in the gym and apply them as you sit up, walk, stand, wake up in bed, sitting in your office chair, walking to the office bathroom, checking your body in the mirror at work, brushing your teeth, waiting in the bus and many more ways you can be conscious of your body from your good posture, deep breathing and smile coupled with happy disposition.

Morning:
Deep breathing and jumping rope (start with ten, legs lifted only 1 in high from the ground, straight body posture). A 30 min walk or jog or 5min mini jump rope (not high impact).
Warm shower and grab your favorite healthy snack (sugar free) to work. This can be a tea, brown rice protein powder or green juice from Trader Joe’s which you will dilute with water later.
At work, get three TB of oat meal and add cranberries and walnut. Women should have all nuts esp pistachio, pecan, pine, sunflower seeds. Take 2 tsp of blueberries, 3 TB of pineapple or papaya. These fruits have strong enzymes. Fruits can be your snack at mid morning.

For your drink, start with warm drink. If you are really wanting to lose weight bigtime, drink warm water with lemon. Since, I lost 5 lbs already for the last 2 weeks, I am drinking diluted green juice at Trader Joes and fresh squeeze green juice “Einstein” at Whole Foods. Will soon have homemade green juice after I pick up one juicer at Wallmart” for $100.
Eat your walnuts and oat meal (with cinnamon) slowly, chewing and taking your time while working on your desk.

Lunch: Grab salad of greens only , add 2 tsp of beets and carrots, a few mushrooms and a healthy soup that is not full of cream of fats from pork and beef. Green, yellow or colorful and healthy soup such as tomatoes, pumpkin. Small cup. For protein, you can opt for 2 tsp of tuna or one boiled egg. Addyou’re your fav herbs: thyme, basil and others
Snack: Snack healthy, sugar free but if you do munch 3 or few bites of dark cherry covered chocolates or nuts.

At 6pm, jog or run one round at a high school track and field or 30min walk.
Dinner: Your favorite dish (not fried, chicken skin removed, fish) with lots of fiber or greens since fiber takes the fat and sugar out of your system. Cooked root crops:3 TB of yams/squash/asparagus/bamboo shoots/green jackfruit/cassava and any the exotic dish you are used to. Since I am from the Philippines, I would add mallunggay, ampalaya, ginger, sayote, okra and many others.
10pm: Snack in the middle of the night for my menopause friends with 2 pcs of saltine or healthy crackers and peanut butter or almond butter.
Do sleep before 10pm for all my female friends.
