I visited one of my clients who had to go back to the hospital for infection and brought a juice of orange, pineapple and turmeric. My mom always make a ginger hot drink with only water and fresh ginger.

Nowadays, I use all kinds of herbs to fight infection. Essential oils of lemon grass and eucalyptus are my go to oils.

Udon or Ramen noodles

Tasty udon , ramen and other noodle -based soups are based on the choice of broth, noodles, toppings and composition.

Choose healthy toppings. Ginger removes the smell of chicken or fish. Fresh cilantro and seaweed are the healthiest.  Chicken or beef broth can be spiced with more garlic, celery, bell pepper and onions. Sesame seeds and oil make the soup addicting.

You should start eating these noodle soup as soon as it is served. Don’t wait for it to cool off.


Comments: Do not eat on plastic or styro-foam , which can alter your hormones and cause stomach cancer over time (wax material).

Notes for Sunday and Saturday prep tips: Seek farmer’s market produce, cut fruits/veggies in cubes and store in portion bag in freezer for Mon-Friday smoothie, soup, or steamed veggie recipe.  If you cook a big batch of chicken or beef broth soup, store in freezer some portion (liquid) to be added to soups later.

Make a broth from chicken or beef bones and divide into portion and store half of the liquid for future use in soups. Add more onions, carrots, celery and garlic and use a blender for easy digestion for seniors or babies. Be sure to throw bones before serving. Always start with sauteiing garlic and onions and meat before adding other ingredients and water for the soup. Broiled wild salmon with garlic, ginger, salt and onions, serve with brown rice and chicken or beef broth soup.

My grandma would always make soup, steam and lots of fresh produce as there is no refrigerator in the olden times. She has a garden for food and medicine. Her kitchen has no canned foods, only dried fish and fresh produce. Cooked frogs is one of the food. As I eat her cooked or raw dish, I am always reminded that they are also food for the Gods.
