Genomic technologies and Optimum Heart Care The state of genomic knowledge of CVDs and stroke has expanded dramatically in recent years. Since our scientific statement was published in 2007, there has been rapid evolution of the genomic technologies, enabling a proliferation of GWASs investigating common, complex diseases, including CVDs and stroke. Because the number ofContinue reading “Personalized pharmacogenetic tests for cardio drugs”

Magnesium oil, for healthy heart cells, brittle bones, stiff muscles
More then 300 biochemical reactions in the body involve Magnesium. It maintains normal muscle and nerve function, controls steady heart rhythm , plays an important role in the immune system, and strengthens bones. It helps regulate blood sugar levels, normal blood pressure, and is involved in energy metabolism and protein synthesis . There is anContinue reading “Magnesium oil, for healthy heart cells, brittle bones, stiff muscles”
Peel and pulp of citrus fruits inhibit cancer and good for kidney and heart health
MCP is a derivative of pectin; a soluble dietary fibre found in the peel and pulp of citrus fruits [20], and has inhibitory effects on the progression of several animal models of cancer [24], [30]. MCP is rich in β-galactoside residues and binds to the carbohydrate recognition domain of galectin-3 [22], [23] thereby impairing theContinue reading “Peel and pulp of citrus fruits inhibit cancer and good for kidney and heart health”
Low Testosterone Concentrations in Men Contribute to the Gender Gap in Cardiovascular Morbidity and Mortality
Men have a generally higher risk of incident cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. And men with low total testosterone (TT) concentrations were identified as high-risk individuals with regard to 10-year cardiovascular disease (CVD) and mortality risk. Across the industrialized world, men experience an earlier onset of (CVD) and a life expectancy 5 to 10 years shorterContinue reading “Low Testosterone Concentrations in Men Contribute to the Gender Gap in Cardiovascular Morbidity and Mortality”
Inflammatory biomarkers as risk factors for future atrial fibrillation among men
This population-based cohort study showed that high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) was independently associated with atrial fibrillation (AF) in men, but apparently not in women, and that patients with WBCs in the upper quartile had increased risk of AF. Inflammatory biomarkers are reported as risk factors for atrial fibrillation (AF). The study investigated the associations betweenContinue reading “Inflammatory biomarkers as risk factors for future atrial fibrillation among men”
Healthy foods and exercise thin blood naturally, preventing stroke and cancer
There are a number of foods and supplements that are known to thin the blood. These include foods with high amounts of aspirin-like substances called salicylates, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E supplements, and foods with natural antibiotic properties.
Strawberries contain a very high amount of naturally occurring salicylates.
While many Americans have problems with blood clots, it is important to note that blood thinning foods are not desirable for everyone in the population. I have been an easy bleeder all of my life, so I have compiled this list so that I know which foods to limit, in order to keep my blood from being too thin.
People taking prescription anti-coagulant drugs also need to be careful not to consume too many foods with natural blood thinning compounds in addition to their regular medication. One of my relatives is on a prescription anticoagulant drug for blood clots and has had eye hemorrhages from ingesting too many blood thinning foods in conjunction with his prescription medication.
Height predisposes one to cancer (tall) and (short) heart disease, stroke, Alzheimers and Diabetes
Tall people: Cancer A new study suggests that taller women have a heightened risk for cancer, the No. 2 killer of U.S. women. The study, published today in the Journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention, found that taller women were more likely to develop cancers of the breasts, ovaries, kidneys, thyroid, endometrium, colon and rectum.Continue reading “Height predisposes one to cancer (tall) and (short) heart disease, stroke, Alzheimers and Diabetes”
Nitric Oxide for strong blood vessels’ cells , up with exercise, melons, cucumber, Vit C, E, amino acid – L-arginine, L-citrulline
Nitric Oxide (NO) is the master signaling molecule important for the heart and blood vessels. • Helps cells get rid of waste products • Regulates the muscle tone of blood vessels and having a major impact in controlling blood pressure • Helps increased blood flow to muscles and organs as well as better cardiovascular andContinue reading “Nitric Oxide for strong blood vessels’ cells , up with exercise, melons, cucumber, Vit C, E, amino acid – L-arginine, L-citrulline”

Heart Disease, more in women
A chart shows 950,000 heart-related deaths of which 500K are women and 450K are men. Pattern: Women erode, men explode (MRI picture ) Therapy: from female stem cells Knowing the warning signs and symptoms of a heart attack is key to preventing death, but many people don’t know the signs. In a 2005 survey, mostContinue reading “Heart Disease, more in women”
Pollution harms the heart, may increase obesity, affects the brain of growing fetus
Digital Vision / Getty Images Bad air means bad health, but just how harmful can pollution be to your heart? And exactly how do pollutants weaken the heart? The Beijing Olympics provides a clue. Researchers reporting in the Journal of the American Medical Association provide the first evidence that even over the span of aContinue reading “Pollution harms the heart, may increase obesity, affects the brain of growing fetus”
